Leadership Philosophy
As a senior lead learning designer and lead academic technologist, my leadership is focused on using technology to improve education. I believe technology should make learning more accessible and meaningful for everyone. My goal is to identify and improve outdated tech practices in academia, encouraging better and more innovative solutions. This requires me to stay open-minded, keep learning, and approach challenges with empathy. I push for new ways of teaching that go beyond traditional methods, helping students not just absorb knowledge but actively engage with it.
I also believe that good leadership is about clear communication, transparency and connection. Leaders should listen carefully, encourage open conversations, and be aware of non-verbal cues that show sincerity. Telling stories can inspire teams and create shared purpose, while breaking down complex ideas into simple, actionable steps keeps everyone focused. Encouragement and positive feedback help build motivation and trust. I believe these skills shape strong, effective leadership that brings real impact to educational and professional environments.
